Cattleman's Livestock Auction

Owner-operator and auctioneer of Cattleman's Livestock Auction. Leon opened Cattlemen’s Livestock Auction in August 1985 in downtown Harrison. He ran it for 10 years before building the state-of-the-art barn in July 1995 north of Harrison. The building was constructed with both the buyer and seller in mind. It has a spacious loading and unloading space and new computer software. The former barn located downtown was in need of multiple repairs. Due to the growth in the cattle industry, Leon felt the new barn just made sense. After Leon's death in 2003, the family kept the barn running for a year and then leased it out for a few years before selling it to Carl Campbell and Landon Logan. Leon and Carl became good friends through the years. One of the many ventures of Leon and Carl was when they were partners in a cattle operation at the Sheeks Ranch in Cabool, Missouri.
