Confederate Regiment Organized in Boone County[, Arkansas]
The Fourteenth Arkansas Infantry, C.S.A. was organized in August, 1861, by State senator William C. Mitchell near old Lead Hill Cemetery in Boone County. This article describes the organization and enlistment of the men, supplies gathered and their participation in the battle of Pea Ridge and future battles during the Civil War.
