Glenn E. Thurston, 66, Gladstone, died Oct. 31, 1990, at the Liberty Hospital. He was born in Old Town, Maine, and moved to this area in 1965. Mr. Thurston was a multi-level railroad car loader at the Ford Claycomo assembly plant for 12 years, retiring in 1977. He was a member of Local 249 of the United Auto Workers. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie L. Thurston, Evergreen, Colo., and Jonathan C. Thurston, Long Beach, Calif.; a stepson, Bill E. Lee, Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Maurice Thurston, Bangor, Maine; a sister, Velma McKenzie, Manchester, Conn.; two grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Newcomer's Flora Hills Chapel; burial in Flora Hills Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to charity. |
