- MRS J. G. WOODING DEAD - Friends of the J. G. Wooding family here were shocked yesterday to learn of the death of Mrs. Wooding at their home west of Eaton. Mrs. Wooding was taken sick on Monday and grew steadily worse despite the constant attention of the attending physicians until Thursday morning at nine o'clock when she passed away, succumbing to erysipelas and diabetes. Mr. and Mrs. Wooding and son came here about six years ago from Williard, Colo. and have lived in this vicinity until last fall when they moved to the district west of Eaton where they were teaching school. Mr. and Mrs. Wooding was in Nunn Saturday and friends who saw them then state that they never saw Mrs. Wooding looking better. Mrs. Fred Tetly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wooding was summoned from her home in Casper, Wyo., and arrived at her parent's home on Wednesday. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church at Eaton and interment made in the Eaton cemetery. Mrs. Wooding, who came to this community, a child of seven years, growing into an attractive young girl, a teacher in the country schools. A resident of Haddam for several years just prior to going to Colorado leaves many relatives in this community and a host of friends. A good woman, talented, a gracious pleasing personality, her sudden passing shocked and grieved all who knew her.
