- Ada Irene Gibbs, 81, entered into rest on April 10, 2010. She was born on January 28, 1929, in Harrison Arkansas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Luster and Essie Sansing. She joins her parents in heaven as well as her husband T.G. Gibbs and daughter Cuba Gibbs. Mrs. Gibbs is survived by her daughter Betty Hubbard of Monticello, Ark., Rebecca Ann Nelson of Manteca, and Michael Alan Gibbs of Pine Grove. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Tracie Conners of Manteca, Anthony Gibbs Sr. of Manteca, Tasha Gibbs of Sacramento, Tonya Marquez of Sacramento, and Susan Davis of Florida. She also has 10 great-grandchildren; Anthony Jr., Julia, Mariah, Arianna, Nevaeh, Kloe, Levone, Brooklyn, Michael, and Nathan. In addition, she has one surviving brother Ben Frank Sansing of Kansas. Ada graduated high school in Arkansas going on to graduate from business school in Little Rock Arkansas. She was a legal secretary for 50 years working until the age of 73. She worked closely with Ron Dellums in the women’s rights movement. She was extremely proud of campaigning for Barak Obama’s presidency at his main headquarters. Ada was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family loved her unconditionally as she loved them unconditionally. She was a wonderful woman and a great friend. She will be missed deeply. Mrs. Gibbs’ arrangements are being handled by P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home of Manteca. All services are being kept private.
