Obituary for Madeline May (Thomas) Chappelle Madeline May Chappelle, aged 92, of 904 North Cherry Street, Harrison, died Friday, Nov. 22 [1991], at her home. She was born Aug. 7, 1899, at Woodward, Okla., a daughter of Erastes and Grace Patterson Thomas. She was a resident of Boone County for 43 years. Survivors include three sons, Delbert Chappelle of Harrison, Claude Chappelle of Kerrville, Texas, and Robert Neal Chappelle Jr. of Fountain Hill, Ariz.; a daughter Berry Yvonne Francisco of Durand, Mich.; two brothers, Delbert Thomas of Arkansas City, Kan. and Joseph Thomas of Quinton, Okla.; a sister Nelly Snook of Arkansas City, Kan.; 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Neal Chappelle, Sr., in 1962, two sons, two daughters, and two grandsons. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Lead Hill Church of Christ with Ervin Lee Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Keesee Cemetery at Monark under the direction of Christeson Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Rocky and Tim Ledbetter, David Dillon, Gene and Tom Duck, and Scott Leal and Dale Pruitt. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, at Christeson Funeral Home.
