- Enid Luallin Wilson was born March 27, 1909, in Conway, daughter of Edward Homer and Effie Turner Luallin. For 91 years she was among us, making her own unique and valued contributions to life in this world. On January 7, 2001, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, she left the pleasures and pains, the relationships and responsibilities of life on this earth. Enid joined her life with Ellis Maupin Wilson on June 27, 1937, in Clinton and to that union a son, Ted Ellis, and a daughter, Martha was born. Enid lived in Henry County most of her life and was an Avon representative for 30 years. She also served as a leader in Cub Scouts, Blue Birds, and Camp Fire Girls. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Warrensburg and the Christian Women's Fellowship. Enid was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alexander and Edwin Luallin; sisters, Mildred Dehn and Maude Hallford, and her son, Ted, who died as a naval aviator in a plane crash. A third sister, Mabel Gates died on January 13, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Ellis, of the home; one daughter, Martha L. Diehl, and husband, Tom, Warrensburg; two grandchildren, Melissa Athon, Roeland Park, Kansas, and Christopher Diehl, Nashville, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Martha Jean Kenney, both of Clinton.
