- Henry O. Smith, passed away at Sierra Community Hospital, in Fresno, on February 2, 1995. Age 91. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Mollie; son, Henry O. Smith Jr.; daughter, Marge Cook; sisters, Hazel Wright of Fresno, and Gladys Bird of Santa Cruz; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Smith was born in Louisiana on August 13, 1903. He was raised in Arkansas and moved to the Fresno area in 1925. Mr. Smith was an Agent, District Manager, and General Agent with Mutual of Omaha and United of Omaha spanning 43 years, prior to his retirement in 1968. His wife, Mollie, worked beside him, building the AGency by serving as Office Manager from 1930 until their retirement. Mr. Smith was a member of Wilmar Lodge No 518, Free and Accepted Masons, Fresno Scottish Rite of Freemasonry 32 degree, Royal Order of Jesters, Fresno Court 157, Tehran Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. of Fresno and Fresno Fraternal Order of Eagles. Funeral service will be held at Lisle Calaveras Chapel on Monday, February 6, 1995, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Belmont Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Lisle Funeral Home on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of central California, 505 Alluvial, Clovis, CA 93611, or to the Donor's Favorite Charity.
