- Don was born in Coweta, Okla., on Jan. 13, 1919. He served in the United States Army in World War II. He retired after many years of service with Fluor Corporation, working in many countries. Don loved to cruise as well as travel anywhere with his wife and friends. Don was a member of Ridglea Country Club, Petroleum Club of Fort Worth, The Shriners, and attended Ridglea Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Frances Viola (Gray) Mathis and his daughter, Vicki L Mathis. Survivors: Loving wife of 21 years, Sue Bradley Mathis; children, Carol Smith and husband, Jack, Donna Lee Falzarano and husband, Angelo, Donald L. Mathis and wife, Luba; niece, Elta June Gibson; five grandchildren; stepson, Dale Bradley and wife, Amy; stepdaughter, Nancy Neely and husband, Dave; six step-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his friends and family.
