  • Notes 
    • Abraham R. Gonce killed Charles Kaiser June 27, 1884 in Ponce de Leon, Christian County, Missouri. He was charged with murder in Christian County, then transferred to Greene County. He was convicted June 15, 1885. Abraham's wife, Martha testified as well as his son, William McClellan Gonce. A. R. Gonce escaped the death penalty but was sentenced to 36 years and served 36 years. He served time in Jefferson City until 1893 when he was pardoned. Gonce returned to Taney County and lived near Walnut Shade until his death.
