11613 Zaidee Bell Baker was born on 18 September 1873 in Gonzales, Texas, to farmer James Alexander "Jim" Baker and his wife Laura Lee Squires. She was the oldest of five children. Zaidee married Joseph Perry "Joe" Ford on 8 January 1891, when she was seventeen years old, at the Baker home in Gonzales, Texas. They raised five children in Smith County, Texas: Eva Jo, Eunice Edna, Laura Velma, Victor Roe, and Elmer Vaughn. Joe gave Zaidee a Colt 45 shortly after they were married and taught her how to shoot it; he wanted her to be protected when he was away. Zaidee Baker Ford slept with her Colt 45 under her pillow until she died, August of 1976, in Lindale, Texas, at the age of almost 103; no one dared bother her! 11614 Zedric Emeriar Davis, 90, of Grain Valley, Missouri, a Custodial Fireman with the Kansas City School district for 20 years until his retirement, died on Sunday, August 6, 2000. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 8, 2000, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Royer Funeral Home, 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley. Services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 9, at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, Missouri. 11615 Zelpha Amanda Tabor was the daughter of Christopher Columbus Tabor and Martha Ellen "Nellie" Sharp, born November 21, 1908, at their home in Olivy, Boone County, Arkansas. Zelpha married Arlo Hartman Roark son of James Jeffe "J.J." Roark and Flora Hester Coke, on August 25, 1929, at Turkey Arkansas. They were married by E.P. Burleson, Justice of the Peace, with Ethel Tabor, Elbert Webb, and Delcie Tabor as a witness. To this union, three sons were born: Billy Joe b. March 19, 1932, Jesse David b. September 28, 1939, Jerry Gale b. April 3, 1943. Arlo and Zelpha lived in the Snow Community where they raised their children and went to church. After Arlo's death, Zelpha moved to South Greenfield, Missouri with two of her son's Jesse and Jerry. Her oldest son Joe and his family followed. Arlo's mother Flora followed in 1954. Zelpha worked at the Missouri Rehabilitation Hospital, Mt. Vernon, Missouri for 10 years. She was a Nurse Assistant. She attended the Miller Assembly of God Church until 1982 when she and about 25 other people helped form the Community Bible Church, Miller, Missouri. Zelpha was preceded in death by her parents C.C. Tabor and Martha Ellen "Nellie" Sharp, her husband Arlo Roark, her son Joe Roark, sisters: Thelma Stoncephier, Della Adams, Delice Bowling, three brothers, Arnold Tabor, Garland Tabor, Burlie Tabor. Zelpha is survived by one sister, Juanita Godfrey, two sons; Jesse Roark and his wife Linda, Jerry Roark and his wife Jane, a daughter-in-law Sibyl Roark, grandchildren, Sharon and Dan Estes, Linda and John Melton, Lisa and Mike Queen, Julie Terry, Jana and Alan Depp, Jason and Rachel Roark, Justin and Julia Roark, three great-grandchildren. Tabor, Zelpha Amanda (I32238)
 
11616 Zerald J. Owen, 97, of Yellville passed away at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center at Harrison on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000. He was born on April 1, 1903, at Monarch, the son of Robert Dale and Lennie Mae (Stackhouse) Owen. He was united in marriage to Flora Yocham who preceded him in death. He was a farmer. He is survived by five sons, W. H. Owen and Wife, Wanda, of Mesquite, NV, Art Owen and wife, Linda, of Oskalusa, Ok., Ivan Owen and wife, Paula, of Kansas City, Ks., Ray Owen and wife, Patricia, of Milan, Il., and Larry Owen and wife, Patricia, of Shelbyville, In. He is also survived by four daughters, Bobbie Gaines and husband, David, of Lead Hill, Anna Moon and husband, James of Lead Hill, Mary Schultz and husband, Bob, of Bull Shoals, and Bonnie Underwood Spencer of Fayetteville. Also surviving Mr. Owen are one daughter in law, Doris Owen, of Harrison; one brother, L. D. Owen, of Russellville; 27 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dale and Lennie Mae Owen; his wife, Flora; two sons, one daughter; nine brothers; and one sister. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. to service time on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Burns Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held Saturday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. Burial was in Keesee Cemetery at Monarch. Pallbearers were Red Blackwell, Bob Moon, Keith Moon, James Moon, Dude Owen, Bob Rose, David Gaines, and Tracy Elledge. 11617 Zetta Treat was born March 10, 1910, in Flippin, Arkansas to Charlie and Mae Shelton Henson. She married Floyd Treat. Zetta was employed as a Nurses Aide. She enjoyed her grandchildren, playing bingo, and was a member of the Baptist church. Zetta passed away on December 11, 2004, at Twin Lakes Nursing Home in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 94 years, 9 months, and 1 day. Survivors: 3 sons: Kenneth Treat (Ann) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Kern Treat of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kenton Treat (Carolyn) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 1 daughter: Kathy White (Bill) of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren: Kyle, Karlin, Kim, Shane, Sheila, Teresa, Kenny and Becky; 1 brother: Everett Hanson of California and several nieces and nephews. 11620 [James Hoyt] Kelley died Nov. 8 in Broken Bow. He was born June 30, 1929, in Telephone, Texas. He spent much of his life in the Golden area and returned there to retire. Kelley married Betty Jo McKenzie on Sept.17, 1949, in De Queen, Ark. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Before his retirement, he worked as a sawmill worker for Sawyer Co. in Arizona. He also served in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loree and May Kelley Williamson. 11630 “Jenny” came into this world on July 10th, 1949. She was the first child of Orin and Betty Rose of Oakland AR. Her siblings followed: Roger Rose, Sylvia Owens, Jerry Rose, Randy Rose, Kary Duffy, and Shauna Price. Jenny attended Yellville-Summit School and graduated from there in 1967. Jenny went on to obtain her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from State College of Arkansas and later completed her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arkansas State University. Jenny began her teaching career at Perry and Center in 1971, then from 1972-1975, she taught at Piedmont Elementary. She finished teaching at Gainesville Elementary where her voice was recognized through the halls. She taught kindergarten there from 1983 until 2006 when she retired after 36 years in education. Danny and Jenny were married on May 23, 1972. Their son, Landon, and his wife, Monica, along with their children, Camden (Mica), Carly, Ashlin, and Paisley reside in Seymour, MO. Their daughter, Lindsee, and her husband, Jason Buckallew, with their children, Tessa, Sadie and Nathaniel reside in Marshfield, MO. Jenny loved spending time with her family, checking cattle with Danny and McGuirk, and watching Romantic movies over and over. She could also name the best clearance racks within 200 miles of her home. Jenny was a member of Pine Ridge Church of Christ in Souder, MO. Jenny was preceded in death by her dad, Orin Rose, and nephew, Kymball Duffy. A celebration of Jenny’s life will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, MO. In 1950, when Jenny was 18 months old, she had cleft palate surgery at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the hospital in Jenny’s memory.
